Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet your safari guide briefs you about the safari itinerary, then transfers drive which is about 8 hours (540 KM) via Kabale - Kisoro to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in South-Western corner of Uganda boarding Rwanda and DR Congo. On the way, you will enjoying scenic views of the Ugandan countryside and stopping at key viewpoints, the Equator for some photos and Mbarara for lunch break, then proceed to the park. On arrival at the hotel in the evening, check into your lodge and relax with views of the volcanic mountains, vegetation cover that dominate the landscape. You will enjoy some dinner and rest for the next day (experience some bon fire). Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Accommodation: Traveller's Rest Hotel. Meals: Lunch & Dinner. Early Morning after breakfast, Head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette. After the briefing, embark on a trek through the dense forest to find one of the habituated gorilla families. Spend an hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, return to the lodge for lunch break, and unwind or take a gentle walk around the vicinity. Then in the evening, enjoy dinner and overnight stay. Batwa Cultural Experience.

After the morning breakfast, Visit a local Batwa community to experience the culture. The Batwa are indigenous pygmies who originally lived in the forests. This cultural tour provides insights into their traditional hunter-gatherer lifestyle. Where you will participate in traditional activities such as hunting techniques using the traditional tools like arrows, spears, medicinal plant tours, and enjoy cultural performances, music, dance and drama. In evening return to the lodge for refreshments and enjoy some dinner and rest for the next day experience. Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Accommodation: Traveller's Rest Hotel. Golden Monkey Tracking.

Option 1: Golden Monkey Tracking After morning breakfast, proceed for a golden monkey tracking experience in the park. Then in the afternoon, return and relax at the lodge or explore nearby attractions, guided short nature walks, experience the paintings & art work at a fee. Option 2: Hiking a Volcano. You may opt to spend a full day and take a challenging hike up one of the park’s volcanoes, such as Mount Sabyinyo, Mount Gahinga, or Mount Muhabura, for panoramic views of the surrounding area. Then return to the accommodation in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay. Main Destination: Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Accommodation: Traveller's Rest Hotel. In the morning at around 8 am, you will enjoy a leisurely hearty breakfast before departing for Kampala or Entebbe to catch your flight back home, check out and the driver will drive you back. Or you may continue to Rwanda for more adventure. Optionally, if time allows, you may stop at Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxing cruise or a scenic lunch. Arrive in Kampala/Entebbe in the evening, or you may extent your stay in Kampala / Entebbe for your onward travel arrangements or post-trip extension, you may opt to visit the Zoo or the nearby beaches to relax and unwind.
